Do Retro Chairs Still Have The Same Feel?

Did you know that retro chairs are one of the most popular pieces of retro furniture? You can benefit from that vintage chrome and metal chairs feel.

If you are scouting for slashed price retro chairs, don’t forget Mitt Chairs. They are vintage style with four steel legs and smooth plush upholstery that comes with a variety of hues. Mitt Chairs are unique and attractive seats that can create a funky look in a room. The plush upholstery is easy to clean and comes with a cushion for an added comfort. The padding gives enough support on the back. For more fun with the chair, it was made to swivel to 360 degrees.

Playboy magazine recently pictured the musical note chair – another vintage furniture design that looks like a high-heeled shoe seat. Like any other retro chairs, this one is also durable and mostly made with hardwood and soft velvet.

Complementing the adult Panton S retro chairs are the Panton S kids’ seats, which have been in the business since the 1960′s. These chairs are probably one of the most durable seats as they are framed with molded PVC for sturdiness. The kid’s version also comes in many different colors, including black and red.

In the 1950′s Tulip chairs were created, which now are called T2 chairs – a more sophisticated, swiveling seats with a frame manufactured out of moulded fiberglass and cushioned with polyurethane foam that facilitates fire lag. The tulip retro chairs were made of suede upholstery and aluminum base. The craftsmanship of T2 is retro but the look is more modern.

Finally, the swan seat, a classic retro chair, also made in the late 50′s, was invented by Arne Jacobsen and was used in the lobby areas of the Copenhagen Royal Hotel. The seats are made of fibreglass frame and polyurethane foam upholstery, which is suede. These are now being reproduced in quite a number of colours like baby blue, green, gray, chocolate, red, black, yellow, cobalt blue, green, orange, and olive.

So whether you are after dining chair, living room furniture or kitchen chairs you are bound to find retro chairs of your choice.
